Joy Monique is a proud woman of color, wife to the love of her life, homeschool mom, performing artist, media personality, author, Partner at CJ's 2 in 1 Enterprise, and Chief Visionary Officer of For Your Joy MMP (Multi-Media Productions). Joy received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College of Chicago. She is also a Graduate of AMTC (Actors, Models & Talent for Christ). Joy has been in the industry of Performing Arts for 20+ years.

She has published poetry for Urban Ministries and performed Spoken Word for the AKA Organization and live theatre in arenas seating several thousands. Joy definitely has not been type cast. Her acting roles have a wide diversity ranging from the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, to British handmaidens.

Brightstar and Non-Profit Organization ads have also been a career highlight. Joy has made acting appearances on local Public Broadcast stations. She has received formal voice training from musical veterans like Lena McLin and Shirley Green. Her additional music sessions with Darius Brooks and Malcolm Williams have shaped her musical performances. She is an Amazon and Spotify musical artist and author. However, her latest accomplishments are as the writer, director and creator of the Christin and Charity Lil’ Big Sistahood and the For Your Joy podcast Shows. Joy can be heard weekly on WVTCradio.com or on their app with her "Joy Monique in the Afternoon"  Broadcast. She can also be caught on the Norris Thompson "Faith Is" Show on Rejoice 102.3 FM radio on select Mondays at 8pm and Wednesdays at noon CST.

She has a genuine love for people of all ages. Connell and Joy raise their beautiful children in Illinois.
